AN ANNIVERSARY
On 6/1/13 Tom celebrated his 35th anniversary with the company
with a cake made by his daughter, Kerry.
PACK EXPO CHICAGO 2012
PackExpo 2012 was held at the McCormick Place in Chicago. Triangle Package
Machinery showed off their new generation of
vertical form, fill, seal machines called the XY series.
Here is a machine that was on display that Tom sold to a company
in Kansas City.
The
Mettler-Toledo booth was not difficult to find with huge
lettering and a two story design. This booth exhibited
Hi-Speed checkweighers, Safeline metal detectors and Safeline
xray systems.
EDL Packaging showed a machine that was capable of either
packing bags into a case or bundling them in a "double tight
wrap" configuration. This versatile machine is ideal for
companies that export some of their products and need them to be
in cases. Mike is shown inspecting one of the cases on the
discharge.
Schneider Packaging showed a machine that featured their "Pro
Adjust" system. In the photo you can see small blue servo
motors in the places where crank adjustments would normally be.
The machine is capable of quickly changing over to new sizes
without the need of operator manual adjustments.
Tom is shown standing in front of the new rotary powder
filler shown by Spee-Dee Packaging. It features many
significant improvements over previous machine designs to
improve changeover and sanitation.
METTLER-TOLEDO DEMO BUS
In July, the Mettler-Toledo Demo Bus visited our area carrying
a full line of Safeline Xray and Metal Detector equipment and
Hi-Speed Checkweighers. Mike and Tom are shown with the
bus as it was parked at the plant of one of our customers.
